Are you getting interviews but not job offers?

Tired of working to get personal introductions, learning about the company, starting to get excited about how great this job would be, getting a good night’s sleep the night before the interview, and trying your hardest to answer the questions…

…and then after all that, getting a generic rejection email that doesn’t help you improve?

Learn exactly how you need to improve to get offers

Christian testimonial photo“I had a really great experience. This tailors to people looking for jobs at very competitive places – it’s a lot of work, and it’s a guide to do well in every aspect of the interview, from tone to content to framing – to full on nail it. If someone’s going for a job somewhere really competitive, it would be really good. But if someone was just looking to get any job as fast as possible this might be too detailed.” -Christian B., Senior PM, Wells Fargo

I’ve spent two years training people in interview skills (see unusuallydifficult.com/testimonials), so I focus on what works best for learning:

    • Focusing on one skill at a time – it’s hard to learn more than one thing at once, so each session intensely focuses on one skill so that you leave that day a concretely better interviewer
    • Clear progression – you should know what skills you’re trying to build in what order, and why that order is the most effective way of making you a better interviewer
    • Live practice – listening to me talk about interviewing isn’t as impactful without immediately practicing those skills, and then reviewing what to learn from that practice

Work with a very successful interviewer

I’m Matt, and I’ve worked with dozens of job seekers to improve their interviewing skills. From 2009-2018, I had a 70%+ rate of turning my first-round interviews into job offers, including competitive positions like product management at Google and OkCupid and consulting at BCG.

“Out of the nearly 100 candidates I’ve interviewed in my career, Matt was hands down the best at interviewing. He had great answers to our questions, knew how the product worked, and had even reached out to past employees to see what it was like to work at the company. A consistent point that we all discussed was how detailed his research was and how we felt that would translate into a great product manager.”
